            The new Ipad Air 2 was released October 16, 2014. It is one of their many lines of the Ipad. The Ipad air was released last year and it shocked people with its super lightweight hardware and its indescribable software. The Ipad has an a8 processor chip with an m8 motion card. This device was also released along with the Ipad mini 3.

            I believe the new Ipad air is very ahead of its time, it blows out all the competitors. Apple advertises it as the amazing tablet for any work. I believe this statement is true because with apples integrated app in IOS 8 called iWork it changes the functionality of how you use the Ipad in any business or any situation. Just like always apple allowed the Ipad to be compatible with the Bluetooth keyboard from the macs.

            One of their main competitors is Samsung. Although Ipad is one of the most advanced tablets, Samsung users like to stay with their products all around. The Samsung tablets aren’t as advanced because Samsung mobile is only focused on their phones.

            The Microsoft Surface is a very competitive product, they always want to have the best tablet out there. They like to compare their product to computers saying its better then some laptops. I believe that is true but also it isn’t better than the MacBook air.  Even though the air doesn’t have a touchscreen and pen it still can run more tasks than the surface can ever do.

            I don’t prefer the Lg tablets because they just feel cheap when you hold it and there operated by  a very slow android software. They are also one of the heaviest tablets.

I believe all tablets are good but I favor the Ipads because their simple operating systems. Nothing compares to the feeling of an Ipad in your hand it is so light and looks great. Apple create the best tablets on the market.

Military Technology

The militaries future

The United States of America has one of the most advanced militaries in the world. It is growing from technology, tactics and ways to help injured people. USA has never lost a war because we have always had the greatest technology. We have competed with many other countries with war and other things. The new upcoming technology is a drone.

            Drones are computer-controlled airplanes that navigate through the sky in warfare so it decreases the deaths in Americans. Many prototypes have been made and 7000 have crashed. If they are able to finalize this prototype then they will be able to win wars without any deaths.

            If that technology doesn’t work than we could find a way to heal wounds. This kind of goes into another subject but scientists have found a way to create fake body parts that heal just like real ones. It is called 3d printing. You print out cells on a big machine. All you do is attach it to the body and skin grows around it. Imagine if a soldier lost his ear or leg or arm and couldn’t do much, they could easily attach the body part and the skin would grow back and he could continue to fight.

            Also the United States is one of the best countries for nuclear technology. We are able to plant or drop a bomb from anywhere. They are able to in the ocean, air, ground, and other places. Most people think that nuclear wars are the way to go. I believe it is not, nuclear bombs do much damage destroying many miles of land. Sure it affects other people but just think that what if those people retaliate and it starts destroying our land and killing many people.

            I believe the future in Military is very advanced. There wont be as many deaths because most of the world’s deaths come from warfare. The air drones and other things in the air that are controlled by computers are insane to comprehend.

Battery Technology (And an Alterninitive)

Battery Technology

We have lots of new and upcoming technology that is changing life, as we know it.

Everyone knows that to make technology work you have to give it power. The easiest way is just to make a cord and plug it up to the outlet and just keep the product in the same place all the time, sounds good right? Well, engineers didn’t like it they wanted there to be mobile technology.  So They created this new thing called batteries.

            Battery technology is one of the worst inventions yet. They can’t keep them charged for more than a day. There are batteries in phones, computers, gaming consoles, and remotes. Admit it you have to charge your phone every night. It kind of gets annoying right? This is a message for kids on your Xbox or Wii you see that your bar is blinking or red. That means you have to throw away the battery and get a new one.    

            Even computer batteries can’t stay charged for long enough for a days use of tasks. In phones the top companies have started creating a case that charges your phone when you turn on the extra battery in its case. The only problem is that over night you still have to charge the battery in its case.

            There isn’t really a way to make a battery never die. I believe that they should create something that doesn’t need charging or a plug to turn on. Engineers should make it a very tiny size so it can fit into any kind of technology. The invention should be able to power anything no matter how many volts or the amounts of power it needs.

            For example, the new iPhone 6 came out a month ago even though it’s a big hit the battery life is only 12 hours. Even though the features in the software are amazing the hardware isn’t good enough to run it for a long enough time to unlock the full potential of the software.

            This makes people very unhappy because the companies advertise the amazing new software but if the hardware can’t keep up so they lose customers! Regular consumers don’t understand the troubles of the battery. They just make it a habit to plug it up every night so it will be ready for the next day.                                             
           Computers are the worst part of the problem. If your using a computer to enhance your learning and it dies you have trouble learning. Many people have this problem because they are writing an important paper and they have to let it charge to continue.

            What if someone created a technology that powered a whole city? What if the size of that technology was smaller than a penny? That would just be revolutionizing how we think of power. This creation would be even better if engineers were able to place this source of power in a phone, computer, or even gaming controllers. If this technology is created it would overdue batteries by a long shot.

Doctors have found a new way to recreate parts you have lost. They use cells to create a body part like an ear. Scientists attack it to the body and the skin grows around it. This technology revolutionizes the way we look at prosthetics.

            I believe this technology is a great way to help soldiers when they are wounded. If someone gets shot or takes a blow you can easily print out another. I’m not very sure that they can do full legs and other parts, but I believe in a few years they will be able to almost create a whole face. Someone could accidently cut their fingers off and doctors just take a few hours to get another one back.

            It is a very complicated machine but very sizable it takes whatever the kind of cells the part is and recreate a fake part from its cells. If they create a whole body then it would lead in to humans that aren’t really humans but yet they are like robots.                      

            This technology is a lot better than prosthetics. Instead of a heavy metal around your leg you have a skin like material. It looks and feels like you never lost an ear at all. I would love to try this out because image the world or possibilities this creates. We might not need robots maybe just “people”.

            Scientists would be able to create the important parts like the heart, lungs, brain, and other things to make people function better. For the heart they could use an artificial heart that they already know how to make. They could easily find brains and lungs would probably be the easiest part. They need to find a place to start from like a few parts of a dead body to make it come to life.          

Over all I believe that further down the road this will be key to helping more people survive through war, accidents, and other things that hurt people.

Apple’s new IPhone that came out on the 9^th has run into some unintended consequences. Buyers are complaining about durability and other minor problems. Most complaints are coming from IPhone 6 users.

            After a little under a week people have noticed a flaw in the design. When users have placed their phone in their pocket and sat down multiple times it has given the phone a bending effect. They noticed this and reported it to Apple. Since the IPhone 6’s outer layer is made from aluminum it’s not the strongest material. Aluminum is prone to bending and not staying in a content place. Certain people have seen these complaints and tested it. Some results came out positive and some came out negative.It is obvious to see that not all phones are indestructible. The IPhone 6 will bend but it takes a lot of force. Apple has suggested that not keeping the phone in awkward positions in pockets will probably keep the slight bend from occurring. Just like every year apple comes out with their own durable cases for a new phone or iPod. I had watched a video on drop tests from pocket height, head height and 10 ft. with the case. The iPhone 6 and 6 plus both came out almost unharmed. So that proves that apple can create a case that is durable through lots of conditions.Now that video I saw with the cases was interesting but I saw another one. This drop test was with the IPhone 6 and 6 plus without cases being dropped from different heights and angles. Surprisingly the phones came out with a few cracks and dents but nothing major. After the results were taken note of the phones still worked.            My advice for the bending problem is to get a case and it will keep the phone in the same position so it won’t have that effect on the phone. We all know that phones can’t be perfect with no problems what so ever I think these problems are just minor compared to the phone over all. Apple has done it again surprising the world with a mind-blowing phone that no one saw coming. I believe they will continue to create high quality designs in their advanced technology in the mere future, another key product is going to be the watch allowing people to use a watch just like their phone.
